Health & Safety Protocols

Automatic hand sanitizer dispensers in all classrooms and common areas
Nationwide Children’s Hospital Nurses on site
Masking requirements
Social distancing of 3-6 feet as practical
School supplies provided for all students
Amplified HVAC systems
Air filters in all classrooms
Safety shield (plexiglass) available for classrooms and common spaces
Health kits in all classrooms
Discontinued use of water fountains
Limited campus access

Masks

Everyone in our learning community (staff, students, partners) will be required to wear a mask at all times while indoors and on school buses; mask use will not be required when outdoors. Should there be substantial spread in our area we will reevaluate the outdoor masking policy. All plans with health and safety protocols are subject to change.

School Year Hours

The school day will be from 8:50a -3:30p. Doors open and arrival will begin at 8:30a with students being tardy after 8:50a. Please do not drop your child off prior to 8:30a on Agler Road or in the car rider line (as there is no one present to safely supervise them). Dismissal begins at 3:30p.

Arrival: 8:30a – 8:50a

Dismissal: 3:30p

COVID-19 Vaccinations

COVID-19 is a vaccine preventable respiratory illness and vaccination is the leading public health prevention strategy to end the COVID-19 pandemic. Achieving high levels of COVID-19 vaccination among eligible students as well as teachers, team members, and household members is one of the most critical strategies to help schools safely conduct in-person learning and allow safe participation in extracurricular activities and sports.

While not required, all members of our learning community (ages 12+) who are eligible to receive the vaccine are encouraged to do so. As a reminder, if you are deemed a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case, but are vaccinated and not symptomatic, you will not be required to quarantine.

Uniforms

Uniform sales will continue to happen directly through School Days. Families can purchase uniforms for the same price that they would pay at KIPP Columbus through the School Days in-person or online store.

All K-12 Uniforms Include:

Tops: Light blue or navy KIPP Columbus polo shirt, KIPP white Oxford button down shirt, KIPP crew neck sweatshirt, or a KIPP Columbus shirt (such as a athletic team shirt, KIPPster of the month shirt, or other KIPP provided shirt)
Pants: Navy slacks or khaki pants (jeans are NOT permitted).
Shorts/Shirts: Navy or khaki shorts or skirts may also be worn but must be at least knee length and skirts must have shorts or tights worn under them.
Shoes: Close-toed shoes (sandals, slide on shoes, or flip flops are NOT permitted).
