The INSPIRE Teaching Fellowship strives to increase the number of highly effective educators who are committed to proving the possible. Through a three-year commitment to KIPP Columbus, INSPIRE Teaching Fellows spend their first year training in a mentor’s classroom and receiving specific professional development opportunities. Upon successful completion of the program, Fellows are considered for a full time teaching position with KIPP Columbus.
“KIPP is the embodiment of love in action. Every day builds the foundation for our students to achieve a future worthy of their light. The work is often challenging and requires great heart— creating a new future is not easy work— but it is always worth it. In this four walls and in our communities, we are building a better world brick by brick.”
– G. Miari, 4th Grade Teacher, former INSPIRE Fellow
“My goal in life is to provide an educational experience that guarantees the success of all students. Regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds, students should have high-quality educational opportunities and at KIPP, I can provide those opportunities.”
– L. Belcher, INSPIRE Teaching Fellow
“I am eager to help children discover the joy of learning. When transformative education takes place, not only is a student’s individual identity formed, but the local community at large has the potential of positive change.”
